GETTING OUT OF BED WITH A GREEN TYROLEAN

ARE YOU STRUGGLING TO MAKE TIME IN THE MORNINGS FOR A REALLY GOOD & HEALTHY BREAKFAST?

GREEN TYROLEAN . RECIPE

How about you start something new & delicious

Before you are about to grab the next ready-made sandwich from the supermarket while rushing to work (and later regretting that it is gluten & ham/cheese only again), buy these few ingredients on your way back home today and try this really yummy green smoothie tomorrow morning.

I tried it in Tyrol and it was my first time having a vegetable in a drink (besides tomato juice in the airplane).

It takes less time to prepare than you think and you can even drink it on the go! Perfect for busy women.

And no! It doesn’t taste like you’re drinking a salad 😉

RECIPE

GREEN TYROLEAN

A refreshing smoothie – perfect in the morning

 

Makes one big glass (0.4l depending on the amount of liquid you add)

 

  • a handful of fresh spinach leaves (if you have to take the frozen one which does taste more intense, only take one cube – the size of a golf ball)
  • 1 ripe banana
  • zest of 1/2 lemon
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 apple / pure apple juice (beware of juices that already have been diluted, because they often have additional sugars or substitute with water if you want)
  • dash of fresh ground ginger
Cut into blendable pieces, add to (hand-held) blender and press ‚play‘ ;-)!
Use the apple juice / water to dilute to a texture you like. 

But I really don’t have time in the morning!!!

Ok, we’ll get rid of that one: set your alarm clock to 10 minutes earlier (10 minutes is doable, right?!) now and put the non-refrigerated stuff already in place for tomorrow: the blender, the glass, a spoon, a knife and a chopping board (you can even slice the banana & the apple now and freeze it to save the extra minute and add more coolness).

Enjoy starting your day!

Believe me, you will not only be proud of yourself because you made time to prepare something really nice & healthy for you (lots of vitamins, fibres, antioxidants) but you will also love yourself for giving you such a delicious start to your day while having done away with the excuses.
